Welcome to Central City Value High School

Mr. Jay Arroyo, Principal, Central City Value High School
Mr. Jay Arroyo, Principal, Central City Value High School

I am happy to welcome you to the Central City Value community.

We want all of our students to be successful and to graduate from Central City well prepared for university. By living the school’s values we will do this. The faculty and students create a positive school community and allow students to succeed. This is a central value from our five core values of practicing academic excellence, developing potential, demonstrating respect, building a supportive community, and lastly, giving back to the community around us. Our school is successful because all members of the Central City community are committed to our values.

Every decision a teacher or administrator makes during the day is based on our core values. We are committed to providing a university preparatory education for each of our students. We set high expectations for our students and will motivate them to reach these expectations. We ask the students and parents to commit to our five core values. We ask that students give one hundred percent effort each day in order to attain mastery of the common core state standards, gain acceptance to a four year university, and be well-prepared for the rigor of university level coursework.

Parents play a key role in the educational process. We believe that the parents are the primary educators of their children. Our faculty works closely with parents to ensure that each student is working to his or her potential. Attending meetings and checking on student progress through our grade system, PowerSchool, are two ways parents can be involved in ensuring their students are progressing towards academic goals.

Lastly, we are striving to be an exceptional high school serving this community. Each one of us must be committed to the goal of achieving exceptional status. In order to do this, we need to give one hundred percent effort each day to make Central City Value High School a school community we can all be proud to serve.

Our Parent-Student Handbook for the 2020-2021 school year will be available on our school website, www.valueschools.com. We have taken this step to save paper and conserve our world’s natural resources.

Sincerely,
Mr. Joaquin Arroyo, M.Ed.
