Special Education and Resources

At Central City Value High School, the Special Education Team works tirelessly to ensure that all students' individualized needs are met. The team is composed of 3 Resource Specialist Teachers who work with different grade-levels across content areas.

The team also collaborates with Designated Instructional Service (DIS) providers. The DIS services that Central City Value High School offers include Speech-Language Therapy, Socio-Emotional Counseling, Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing services, along with Visual Itinerant services. The school has developed a full-inclusion model in which all students, regardless of disability, are able to participate in the general education classroom. This allows all individuals to have the opportunity to graduate with the A-G requirements necessary in order to apply to a four-year university.

Should you have any questions regarding the Special Education Program, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Alexandre, the school's Special Education Coordinator.

I am the director of special education and a resource coordinator for CCVHS since 2017. I have a bachelor’s degree from CSUSB and Master’s degree from UCLA and have been in special education for 15 years.

I am the Resource Specialist Teacher for the 9th and 12th grade students at Central City Value. I have been a part of the CCVHS Family since 2016 and I obtained my Master's Degree from Pacific Oaks College.

I graduated from Central City Value in 2012, from UCSB in 2016 and have been working here since then. I am currently the 10th-Grade Resource Specialist Teacher. Along with being the grade-level case carrier, I also collaborate and co-teach with general education teachers to ensure all our students can access the content from the curriculum.

I am a special education assistant, I assist with in-class push-ins, SSR support, parent communications and translations during IEP meetings.
